Booking and Terms and Conditions

Craigmont House and Cottage regret that they are unable to accommodate children or pets. Both properties are non-smoking and non-vaping throughout and we ask all our guests to respect this.

All bookings require an immediate payment of £45 (non-refundable) in order to secure the booking and until this payment is received, the booking is not confirmed.  By booking with Craigmont House and Cottage you acknowledge that you have read and understood and accepted the terms and conditions. Please note that the balance of your booking is to be paid in full 4 weeks before arrival. If you wish to cancel the booking you can do so, but your booking will be subject to our cancellation policy, which is as follows:
 
Cancellation - 15 (fifteen) days prior to arrival date 50% (fifty per cent) of the total amount due will be refunded, less the booking fee.
Cancellation -  8 (eight) days or less prior to arrival date or no-show, 
we are unable to offer a refund. This includes 'force majeure' circumstances.We regret that once the booking fee pre-payment of £45 has been made, we are unable to refund this. All cancellations or changes must be communicated by email. No request made by phone will be accepted. 
 
We accept payments by cash (sterling), or by credit or debit cards via chip and pin. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Paypal. Alternatively, we can accept payments via BACS; please email us for further details at the time of booking. Bookings made at short notice must be paid immediately in cash or by credit/debit card upon arrival.
 
 
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT GUESTS TAKE OUT TRAVEL INSURANCE IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION.
 
 
IMPORTANT: the small print  -  Please note that vehicles and personal property are left entirely at the owner's own risk and Craigmont House and Cottage cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damages that may arise as a consequence of the use of these premises by the guest, including without limitation damages, insurance, theft, losses because of fires, robbery or criminal behaviour, personal injury or injury caused to any other persons. We ask all our guests to respect our property and we reserve the right to remove any person or persons whom we deem to be acting in an unreasonable manner. Please note that we are unable to offer a refund under these circumstances, nor will the guest have any right to claim any type of compensation from us.
 
Craigmont House and Cottage is a family run business and we have a pet cat and dog. Our accommodation is thoroughly cleaned and although our pets do not have access to guests' accommodation we cannot accept any responsibility for any allergies our guests may have to animal fur.
 
Similarly, we cannot ensure that food is entirely free from allergens or minute traces of nuts.

The Terms and Conditions may undergo changes and shall be effective and accepted on-line as from the date of the first booking request.
 
These Terms and Conditions do not affect consumer statutory rights.
