The ramblings of a Hearach who feels extremely priviledged to live and work on this beautiful, wild land of my forbears.

  2. Port of Ness
This week was a real delight. The best part of the job for me is meeting the guests, especially when you start out as strangers and end up as friends!
Luke Gray, a talented artist from British Columbia, Canada, arrived on the 24th July 2017 for 8 nights at Craigmont House.  After frequent emailing, I could tell that we would become friends so it was fabulous to finally meet her.  Following a recent leg injury, (unbelievably, she fell at Culloden after placing a stone from BC on the Fraser monument (her grandfather was a Fraser),  she felt unable to hire a car so after tweaking my commitments, I managed to squeeze in a trip to Harris and Ness. We were lucky with the weather too, as you can see!.
